Dr. Melinda Noonan

Specialist, Healthcare and Education

Dr. Noonan is a healthcare and education expert in consult with Moran for projects with clients in both industries. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and College of Health Sciences (Health Systems Management) at Rush University.

Until early 2015, Dr. Noonan served as Associate Vice President, Hospital Affairs and Director, Rush Children’s Hospital at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She has held leadership positions at several Chicago area hospitals and academic medical centers over the past several decades. In addition to hospital operations, she held service line administration positions in cardiovascular, oncology, and women’s and children’s services for over 20 years. Dr. Noonan also managed a national healthcare consultant practice for several years assisting clients with strategic planning and service line development.

Dr. Noonan earned her B.S.N. from University of Illinois at Chicago, her M.S. in Nursing Administration from North Park University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University. She has published and presented nationally and internationally on her areas of expertise and is a 2013 Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow and Institute of Medicine-Chicago Fellow. She is President of the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders and Chair of the Illinois Health Care Action Committee Collaboration Committee. She is also a member of ACHE, AONE, CHEF, and Sigma Theta Tau-Gamma Phi.
