Robert Moran

Bob Moran is President and Founder of Moran Consulting, where he has spent nearly three decades helping organizations solve complex people, culture, customer experience and performance challenges.

Since founding the firm in 1997, Bob has led and advised on hundreds of engagements across transportation, logistics, healthcare, government, higher education, utilities, manufacturing, professional services and other industries. Together, Bob and the Moran team have completed more than 800 client engagements – from focused leadership and training initiatives to complex, multi-year transformations involving thousands of employees.

Bob’s work begins with understanding what is really happening inside an organization. He has led organizational assessments, executive and employee interviews, focus groups, strategic planning, culture and engagement initiatives, process improvement, leadership development, customer experience transformations and large-scale organizational learning programs. That breadth of experience allows him to look beyond the presenting issue and help clients identify the deeper organizational barriers affecting performance.

Over the years, Bob has helped organizations break down silos, strengthen leadership, improve employee engagement, redesign processes, establish service and cultural standards, build internal training capability, and translate strategic goals into everyday behaviors and practices. His approach is grounded in a simple belief: transformation is not something you do to people; it is something you accomplish with them.

As Moran’s President, Bob continues to work directly with senior leaders and project teams, helping organizations solve the right problem, create practical solutions, and build the alignment and ownership needed for meaningful change to last.

Robert’s credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Wisconsin – Stout; an MBA from Maryville University of St. Louis; and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Organizational Development from Loyola University in Chicago. Robert served on the Board of Directors for The Association of Quality and Participation, and has delivered keynote speeches to multiple national organizations on the subject of customer service excellence and organization-wide culture change.
